About
The premier professional society in Illinois for supporting the educational and professional life courses of Black male educators, the power of our collective is actualized via our desire to see recruitment, retention, and development of Black male educators made manifest in substantial and sustainable ways. As stewards of social narratives, pipelines of professional success, and our posterity, it is incumbent upon us to diligently exercise our God given capacities and resources in ways that leverage a most productive outcome for the stakeholders to whom we are responsible. For the future, let us create excellence together.
This endeavor is fully inspired by and replicates the tremendous work of Dr. Curtis Lewis and the Black Male Educators Alliance of Michigan (BMEAMichigan). Without hesitation we herald the work of our family in Michigan and with their blessing have been granted permission to begin this extremely important and timely work in Illinois. |
