Black Male Educators Alliance of Illinois

Black Male Educators Alliance of Illinois or BMEAIllinois is a professional society of educators, mentors, community leaders, and other professionals who partner to increase the number of effective black male educators and improve the educational experiences of children. 

Mission

Our Mission is to leverage member capital and partner with educational agencies at the local, state and national level to advocate for the support of RECRUITING black men into education, RETAINING black male educators, and DEVELOPING leaders to improve the education of youth. We are a group of practitioners  and stakeholders invested in the dismantling of institutional impediments to diversity in the educational profession.
